This is the Coastal Region (Hamadori) of Fukushima Prefecture. We interviewed two Prefectural Officials working to restore and revitalize the region, on their hopes and wishes for the future. We will report on messages from people working on-site as they strive to recover from the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Suzuki Satoko

She was in her hometown, Iwaki City when the earthquake struck. She decided to work for the local government from a desire to become involved in restoring her hometown. She is currently contributing to the recovery effort by providing on-site engineering supervision to the restoring of facilities that were damaged by the disaster.
Yada Yuta
Fukko Shien-tai (Restoration Support Team)
He was dispatched from Oita Prefecture as a member of the "Fukko Shien-tai" to provide support to agricultural civil engineering projects. He is striving to restore and revitalize agricultural land in coastal areas.
